Service Description

This service is for a Skin Care Facial and a Dermaplane Treatment. A Skin Care Facial is a deep clean skin care treatment for the face that includes steam (If you have eyelash extensions steam will be replaced with warm towels not placed over extensions.), exfoliation enzyme, pore extractions, facial mask, and facial massage. A skin care facial is good for overall general skin health as well as for specific skin conditions. Dermaplane is a safe, non-invasive treatment which uses a special tool at a forty-five degree angle and stroked along the skin, while holding the skin taut to remove “peach fuzz”, as well as dead skin cells. Dermaplane is performed as a stand alone treatment or prior to other skincare treatments to enhance their effectives. This is a wonderful form of exfoliation that can be used with or without chemicals. This treatment does not require downtime and will effectively smooth acne scars and give you the smoothest possible skin. Contraindications: Although it is impossible to list every potential risk and complication, the following conditions are recognized as contraindications for dermaplaning treatment and must be disclosed prior to treatment. • Active acne • Active infection of any type, such as herpes simplex or flat warts. • Any raised lesions • Any recent chemical peel procedure • Chemotherapy or radiation • Eczema or dermatitis • Family history of hypertrophic scarring or keloid formation • Hemophilia • Hormonal therapy that produces thick pigmentation • Moles • Oral blood thinner medications • Pregnancy • Recent use of topical agents such as glycolic acids, alpha-hydroxy acids and Retin-A • Rosacea • Scleroderma • Skin Cancer • Sunburn • Tattoos • Telangiectasia/erythema may be worsened or brought out by exfoliation • Thick, dark facial hair • Uncontrolled diabetes • Use of Accutane within the last year • Vascular lesions Please understand the following side effects can occur with this treatment: Redness Dryness Inflammation Irritation Abrasions Scarring Infection Whiteheads Peeling By booking this service you are acknowledging that you read and fully understand the above information.
